Credit card and billing data for website transactions are processed directly and securely by Whop, our Merchant of Record; we do not store raw payment credentials on our servers.
- Social & Performance Data: Posts, comments, likes shared in Hive Hub, and peer-to-peer ratings submitted within the app ecosystem.

- Test Proofs: Compulsory screenshots and optional feedback submitted as proof of testing fulfillment.
- Device Identifiers: Unique hardware identifiers collected from mobile devices to enforce security policies and prevent multi-account abuse.
- Analytics and Usage Data: We automatically collect certain anonymized information about how you interact with our website and mobile application via Google Analytics. 4. How We Share Your Information
- Connection-Based Privacy: Unconnected app users see only your username. Connected members see your profile picture, applications, and Hive history.
- Hive Context: Current Hive members can see your app info, username, and profile picture to perform tests.
- Service Providers & Processors: We engage trusted third-party processors to facilitate our services depending on where your transaction takes place:
- In-App Purchases: All financial transactions, purchases, or subscriptions made inside the mobile application are securely processed exclusively by Google Play Billing in accordance with Google's privacy standards.
- Website Purchases: For the Paid Tester Service purchased directly through our website, we use whop.com as our Merchant of Record to securely handle financial transactions, manage global tax compliance, and process payment data in accordance with Whop's Privacy Policy.
- Analytics: We utilize Google Analytics both on our website and within our mobile application to collect aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics and behavior metrics, helping us analyze platform efficiency.
- Core Infrastructure: We use Google Firebase for mobile authentication and cloud storage, and Google AdMob for ad delivery within the application.
5. Data Storage, Retention, and Legitimate Exceptions
App Hive utilizes a secure hybrid data infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, data integrity, and compliance:
- Mobile Application Data: All core data related to the mobile application ecosystem—including user profiles, Reputation Points (RP), Inactivity Points (IP), peer ratings, and chat logs—is processed and stored on Google Cloud (Firebase).
- Website and Transaction Data: All information collected directly through our website—including billing details, transaction histories, and submitted Package IDs for the Paid Tester Service—is securely processed and stored on our proprietary, dedicated servers.
- Test Data Retention: Screenshots and reports submitted as test proofs within the app are permanently deleted from Firebase servers within 5 days after a Hive moves to 'Closed' status.
- Chat Data Retention: Text messages within the application's DM feature are permanently deleted 48 hours after the session begins.
- Legitimate Retention Exceptions: In accordance with platform safety and regulatory standards, specific data elements are exempt from immediate deletion upon account termination:
- Fraud and Abuse Prevention: We retain a secure, irreversible cryptographic hash of your device's hardware identifier on our servers to prevent multi-account abuse.
- Regulatory and Tax Compliance: Financial transaction and billing records stored on our proprietary servers are legally retained for the statutory period required by applicable tax, auditing, and accounting laws.
6. Account Deletion and Data Control Rights
We provide comprehensive and easily accessible data control mechanisms to comply fully with Google Play’s User Data Policies:
- In-App Deletion Path: Users can permanently delete their app account and all associated personal data directly within the mobile application via Settings > Terminate Account.
- Web-Based Deletion Path (App-Independent): If you have uninstalled the application or wish to request account and data deletion without opening the app, you may submit a formal request by contacting us directly at support@getapphive.com. Upon verification, your account and associated eligible data will be safely and completely removed from our active servers within legal and operational timeframes.
